AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Tulsa, Oklahoma that is one of the world's largest manufacturers of aerostructures for commercial airplanes, defense platforms, and business/regional jets. With expertise in aluminum and advanced composite manufacturing solutions, the company’s core products include fuselages, integrated wings and wing components, pylons, and nacelles.
The Robot Operator is responsible for manufacturing high-quality parts and assemblies in accordance with engineering specifications, work orders, and production requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and work from engineering requirements, work orders, blueprints, sketches, charts, and work instructions to manufacture parts and assemblies to specification.
- Operate CNC (multi-axis) and conventional machines to fabricate precision components while maintaining strict quality standards.
- Set up, adjust, and operate machines, including determining appropriate feeds, speeds, and alignments using shop math and technical data.
- Perform first article inspections and proof new or revised CNC programs.
- Adjust tooling, fixtures, and machine settings to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, gauge blocks, and protractors to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Drill, countersink, seal, and install fasteners using manual and CNC equipment.
- Assemble components into subassemblies or finished products using proper tooling and techniques.
- Verify all work meets engineering specifications and identify/report discrepancies per procedure.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are properly calibrated and certified.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Assist in training other team members on machining and assembly processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machining within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Aerospace or aviation industry experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in CNC and conventional machining, including understanding of G-codes and M-codes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Strong knowledge of precision measurement tools and inspection techniques.
- Experience with tooling setup, fixture alignment, and machining processes.
- Basic math skills required for machining calculations.
- Ability to use a dial indicator to indicate holes or tooling features.
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
